However, the need to eventually choose a new career remained on my brain. Dancing “Musagète“ with NYCB underlined my reasons for dancing and continuing to dance. I have always found the physical challenge combined with emotional expression in a narrative context rewarding. Last year, a longish holiday – a rare occasion – provided the opportunity for me to draw some conclusions. The narrow tunnel of a dancer‘s life precludes any exploration of life outside. The time is now, while energy and curiosity still abound, to expand my horizons.
