Raffaella Giordano: «Tu non mi perderai mai»
“Tu non mi perderai mai“ – “You‘ll never lose me“ is the title of the new solo by Raffaella Giordano/Sosta Palmizi, created with the intention of translating with movements “in space [...] the words which resound in time,“ particularly the ones contained in the biblical “Song of Songs.“ One would never suspect this inspiring sub-text if Giordano herself didn‘t declare it.
She enters the stage, in constant full light, walking from behind the stalls, dressed in a dark bourgeois skirt, an “imprimé“ shirt and a very “bon ton“ little bag, installs herself here and there, maintaining slow, stiff movements and positions, lying down or resting on one knee, an elbow, a hand, or standing still.
Her behaviour is that of a woman deeply involved in her own feelings, mostly in silence, without music, or occasionally to a subtle echo of popular songs when appropriate to the flow of her thoughts. The audience is called on to take part in it, to tune in.
